Honouring Tradition and Togetherness: A Triple Celebration at St. Joseph’s

The campus of St. Joseph’s Convent High School was filled with colour, joy, and patriotic spirit as students celebrated Gandhi Jayanti, Deepavali, and Kannada Rajyotsava together. The event beautifully reflected the values of peace, light, and cultural pride.

Two programmes were held simultaneously — one for the Preparatory Section to Grade 3, and another for Grades 4 to 10.

The Preparatory and Primary students presented a delightful programme featuring prayer, dance, fancy dress, and speeches in both English and Kannada. Their enthusiasm and confidence brought smiles all around, and Sr. Manjula’s inspiring address added a special touch to the celebration.

Meanwhile, the Grades 4–10 students showcased a grand celebration that began with a welcome dance, lighting of the lamp, and prayer service. The programme included speeches, dances, fancy dress rounds, and a book release by Mrs. Malathi, our Kannada teacher. The soulful rendition of “Raghupathi Raghava Raja Ram” filled the hall with devotion and harmony.

The celebration concluded with an encouraging address by our Principal, Sr. Malar Joseph, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking a memorable day that captured the true spirit of unity, joy, and cultural pride.
