Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes, Whitefield, aspire to build Communion through quality education, integral human formation, spiritual Orientation, Social Commitment and emotional balance
Our History & Legacy
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes was founded in 1843 in France by six young girls who shared a profound spiritual experience. Guided by compassion, they dedicated themselves to educating children and caring for the sick.
Their missionary spirit brought them to India in 1882. Responding to an appeal by Rev. Fr. A. Levelle, the Sisters extended their mission to Whitefield. On January 9, 1933, six pioneers—Sr. Marie Martha, Sr. Marie Patrick, Sr. Marie Teresita, Sr. Maria Vincentia, Sr. Maria Joanna, and Marie Prescilla—laid the foundation for this institution.
From humble beginnings under the shade of trees, St. Joseph’s Convent High School has grown into a beacon of knowledge, nurturing generations of students to succeed and serve with compassion.

Good school with beautiful green campus. Both the teaching staff and support staff do their job well and are kind and respectful. It is not a showy school but if you are looking for a sensible and down to earth school this is ideal..

Purely education oriented decent school. Affordable to everyone. Approachable teachers and staff. No fancy attractions but they do all the things that kids need. They had setup a planetarium in school campus for kids. My kid enjoyed a lot. Big shout out to Malathi Acharya Maam(kannada maam)- Lovely person, too supportive, heavily knowledgeable.

Educations wise awesome school. This is a no nonsense school. Very good and helpful teachers. Very High focus on academics. Infrastructure is very good and spacious. Class activities are little less compared to other schools. Fees is very reasonable.

I went to take form for my toddler, eligible for LKG for next academic year. I must say that everyone was friendly & respectful. There was a young boy at the office, explained me the details very well. This is not a flashy school at all. I felt good to see students from higher classes brooming the school premise and some teacher monitoring them in the morning. gave me a 'gurukul' like feeling.
